Bucci Franklin has won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for his role in To Kill a Monkey.
The Nollywood actor emerged victorious in one of the most competitive categories.
Franklin’s performance in To Kill a Monkey earned widespread praise from movie lovers and critics for its emotional depth, strong screen presence and compelling character delivery.
The Best Supporting Actor category featured a strong lineup of nominees across major Nollywood productions, including Simileoluwa Hassan for The Yard, Lateef Adedimeji for Gingerrr, Gabriel Afolayan for Colours of Fire and Femi Adebayo for King of Thieves 2.
Also nominated were Lateef Adedimeji for Red Circle, Femi Branch for Owambe Thieves and Uzor Arukwe for Behind the Scenes.
The announcement was met with loud applause from guests and entertainment stakeholders at the award ceremony.
