The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its National Election Management Council for the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, scheduled for November 8, 2025.
The party confirmed this in a post via its official X handle on Wednesday.
The high-level council features over 100 members drawn from national and regional political ranks.
The council will be chaired by Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, with Governors Bassey Otu of Cross River, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, and Mohammed Bago of Niger serving as co-chairmen.
The structure, segmented into committees including finance, media and mobilisation, also features key figures such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen.
The council will be formally inaugurated on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the CJ Paterson Auditorium, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha.
The party will also flag off its campaign later that day at the same venue.
With Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu as its governorship candidate and Senator Uche Ekwunife as deputy, the APC aims to challenge the long-standing grip of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra.
