There was confusion on Wednesday over the death of a former deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adetoun Adediran. Two cases of fatalities have been recorded in 24 hours in Nigeria as results of complications arising from coronavirus infections. The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control in its latest chart said the country recorded 536 new cases nationwide. Despite the recent release of a sum of N52.5bn by the Federal Government to the universities, the Academic Staff Union of Universities has indicated an impending strike nationwide. ASUU said the release of N30bn Revitalisation Fund and N22.5bn Earned Academic Allowance have not changed anything over the issues it has with government.
