The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has discovered a new method adopted by drug traffickers to distribute synthetic cannabis, widely known as “Colorado” or “colos”.
This was disclosed in an X post by the spokesperson of the agency, Mr. Femi Babafemi, on Sunday.
In the post, he alerted parents to beware and extra vigilant of items their children receive or consume, especially products that resemble everyday food items.
“In case you see your young ones taking delivery of Moimoi that comes in these beautiful sachets, please insist on taking a closer look 👀.
“The merchants of death are now packaging that dangerous synthetic cannabis known on the street as Colos ( Colorado in full) in these Moimoi cooking sachets as discovered by @ndlea_nigeria officers in Lekki area of Lagos in one of our latest seizures.”
“Leaving no stone unturned #NDLEA” the statement read.
