Some residents of Osun state have taken to the street to troll controversial businesswoman and the All Progressives Congress chieftain, Falilat Arike, popularly known as Ero Arike, after she lost at her polling unit in the ongoing 2026 Osun Governorship Election.
Arike had over the past months expressed her rejection of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid as she backed the candidacy of the APC’s Bola Oyebamiji.
She had repeatedly called out the governor while advocating for Oyebamiji’s emergence as the next governor of the state.
Arike would however be humbled at the poll on Saturday as she reportedly lost her polling unit to Adeleke days after distributing rice to women in the community to get their support for Oyebamiji’s candidacy.
While the actual result of her polling unit is subject to controversies with claims that Accord the poll 124 votes as against, APC’s 11, some residents took to the street to celebrate the defeat of the businesswoman at her polling unit.
Video shared on X showed a group of women singing mockery song for Arike as they celebrate Adeleke’s victory.
