The National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress Dr. Ajibola Basiru has failed to secure Osogbo for the candidate of the party Bola Oyebanji in the ongoing governorship election held on Saturday.
Basiru who hails from Osogbo had once represented the Osun Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly.
By the conclusion of collation of the results of the local government area on Saturday, votes scored by Basiru’s party stood at 27,674 while that of Accord Party stood at 32,043.
